On April 29th, the press conference of JYP's new girl group survival program 'SIXTEEN' that will broadcasted through Mnet, was held at 63 Convention Center in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
SIXTEEN is a JYP's rookie girlgroup survival program that will be broadcast through Mnet. SIXTEEN will follow 7 trainees who are currently training to be in JYP's upcoming girl group and 9 other trainees. Among the 16 contestants, there are 4 Japanese members, 1 Chinese member and 1 Thai member. They already revealed the member's profile of SIXTEEN one by one from April 13th.
All the 16 selected members there are, Nahyun, Sana, Dahyun, Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, Sumi, Jiwon, Momo, Eunsuh, Mina, Chaeryeong, Minyoung, Jisoo, Natty, Chaeyeon, Jungyeon attended the press conference with Park Jin Young and 'SIXTEEN' PD from Mnet.
In the press conference Park Jin Young revealed the rookie girlgroup from 'SIXTEEN' will be called 'TWICE' after the group formed.
Park Jin Young also stated that upcoming girl group 'TWICE' to incorporate more hip-hop and rock elements.
