Hyolyn to make a comeback after 1 year

 

Hyolyn's comeback is confirmed!

According to her agency on the 30th, Hyolyn will release a new digital single on July 12th. It is exact 1 year since her latest mini album 'ICE' was released in July, 2022.

Hyolyn aimed her comeback with digital single could be enjoyed during summer.

The agency introduced this song as, "A cool summer song like a midsummer shower that despicts the youth in Hyolyn's unique color."

They also asked for expectation by saying, "Hyolyn focused in completing the song that anyone can easily enjoy in a comfortable atmosphere, rather than showing much of her performance and singing ability."

Wonder Girls' Yubin, SISTAR's Hyolyn, FIESTAR's Yezi and more attends 'Unpretty Rapstar 2' press conference

All the members of Mnet program 'Unpretty Rapstar 2' attended the press conference at Yeongdeungpo Times Squeare Amoris Hall.

'Unpretty Rapstar' is a music competition program focusing on female rappers and hosted by Korean rapper San E. Different from season 1, 11 rappers participated in the season 2 with a stunning line up. All the members attended press conference and shares their thoughts on joining the show.

Yubin said, "Through Unpretty Rapstar 2 I think I can show many different sides." Then, "Wonder Girls members also supporting me."

Following by talk about her rap, "Wonder Girls rap and my rap is totally different." said Yubin. She added, "There is a time when my rap on Wonder Girls not be able to air."

Hyolyn also shares her thoughts, "This is my first time I appeared in the program that showing rap skill than vocal. On the other hand I can tell you frankly my story than anyone else."

She also revealed, "If you look, I can lose a whole on Unpretty Rapstar, but I always wanted to rapping and loved it but never had a chance." She added, "There is a limit how much I can show in a group, so I'll show the appeal that I didn't show it with SISTAR."

Kasper who also known as Kisum's bestfriend answered the question about is she going to be better than Kisum on the show. Kasper answered, "For rap techniques and rhyme, I think I can do better."

Meanwhile, the second season of Unpretty Rapstar to premiere on September 11th at 11PM KST.

Hip-hop collaboration of SISTAR's Hyolyn X Zico X Paloalto drops teaser image

SISTAR's Hyolyn X Zico X Paloalto are united for a special collaboration.

On August 19th through official twitter of Starship Entertainment they released teaser images of upcoming hip hop collaboration of SISTAR's Hyolyn X Zico X Paloalto.

The agency officials said, "The project of SISTAR's Hyolyn X Zico X Paloalto is entering the finals stage. Their specialities are different, but certainly you can feel their own personality and aura as the top three artists in the country."

We can see their special collaboration on August 26th.

SMTM4's contestant Kasper and rapper KittiB confirmed to join Unpretty Rapstar 2!

Show Me The Money 4 contestant, Kasper and underground rapper KittiB confirmed to join Wonder Girls Yubin, SISTAR's Hyolyn, Gilme, FIESTAR's Yeji and Ahn Soo Min on 'Unpretty Rapstar 2'.

On August 17th according to various officials, the decision are being finalized that Kasper and rapper KittiB to appear on 'Unpretty Rapstar 2' and took a part in the recording session. Kasper was Show Me The Money 4 contestant, meanwhile, KittiB is an underground rapper. It is also reported that YG Entertainment trainee will take a part in this show.

This season of Unpretty Rapstar will have 11 members. Unlike the previous season, this time numbers of idols who joined the show has increased. Wonder Girls Yubin, SISTAR's Hyolyn, FIESTAR's Yeji and former girl group member also reported to be join on the show.

The first episode of Unpretty Rapstar 2 will begin to air on September 11th at 11PM KST on Mnet.

Wonder Girls Yubin and SISTAR's Hyolyn to join 'Unpretty Rapstar Season 2'

Wonder Girls Yubin and SISTAR's Hyolyn to join 'Unpretty Rapstar Season 2'.

It is reported that Yubin and Hyolyn has confirmed their appearance after recently spotted at the 'Unpretty Rapstar Season 2' jacket shooting. Yubin is a Wonder Girls rapper which is her rap skill can be provided but Hyolyn is SISTAR's lead vocal and not a rapper so it is expected she is going to show a new look.

Yubin is expected to filming 'Unpretty Rapstar' in the middle of Wonder Girls comeback promotions. Meanwhile, Hyolyn is expected to show an overwhelming charisma through this her rap.

According to the officials, the final members were not yet finalized and some members have completed the individual jacket shooting.

'Unpretty Rapstar Season 2' is planning to enter the shooting session in the middle of August or in the end of August and scheduled to be broadcast in September on Mnet.

Mnet side said, "There is no confirmation of performers so far. There is no first shoot of anything so far." They added, "Unpretty Rapstar 2 is scheduled to broadcast in September and is scheduled to begin the shooting in mid-August or the end of the month. The members also going to be revealed about that time."

Starship Entertainment said, "It is not confirmed yet. But it's true we're considering the appearance" They added, "It is positively under review."

SISTAR to hold 'Shake It' comeback showcase at COEX Artium

SISTAR comeback showcase for their 3rd Mini Album will be held at COEX Artium on June 22nd.

SISTAR with 3rd Mini Album finally making their comeback after 10 months since last August. The showcase is place to performing their title track for the first time 'Shake It' produced by Duble Sidekick, also several songs from their 3rd Mini Album. In the album one of the member, Bora participated in lyric writing for track 'Don't Be Such A Child' featuring rapper Giriboy. Mad Clown also take a part in featuring on SISTAR's new album.

Starship Entertainment representative said, "SISTAR has been preparing the 3rd mini album for a long time. Not like before, for this comeback they're aiming for 'high class' maturity concept."

The comeback showcase on June 22nd at 11 AM KST will be held for the media.

SISTAR Attends Coca Cola's MATE Tea Event

On June 4th, SISTAR attends the event of Coca Cola's MATE Tea with title 'SISTAR Mate Body Showtime' at Seoul Journal Hall.

Last summer, Mate Tea has been appointed SISTAR's Hyolyn as the model of their brand. Following Hyolyn, this year Mate Tea also appointed the 3 members of SISTAR as their models. So SISTAR promoted the brand as a full group now.

Mate Tea are made from the South American yerba mate plant. Most yerba mate comes from Argentina. The mate produced in Latin America, is a famous primarily as drinking water in Argentina and Brazil.

Coca Cola representative stated earlier this year, "SISTAR is known for their healthy, positive, bright, energy and ahead of the start of summer they have become the models for the brand. They will each show their 4 different colors."

SISTAR Drops Teaser Image for Upcoming Comeback

On June 2nd through the official twitter account, SISTAR revealed the first teaser image for their summer comeback.

Previously before the teaser out, SISTAR confirmed to make a comeback in the 4th week of June. Double Sidekick who produced SISTAR's songs such as Loving U, Give It To Me and I Swear also has produced the track for their upcoming comeback.

One of the picture showing Bora's eyes with skull sticker and the other pictures showing hands with pretty nail art on it, also the back profile of one of the member.

SISTAR revealed the teaser with 'WHO AM I?' caption and hastagh #씨스타 (#SISTAR), #컴백 (#Comeback), #사악 (Devil) and #흔들어 (Shake It). According to the hashtag, we can guess the title of SISTAR's comeback song.

On June 4th, SISTAR drops additional teaser for their upcoming comeback with each member styling their hair. We can clearly seen SoYou and Dasom's faces but Hyolyn and Bora only showed their back. After a few minutes, Bora posted a photo of her with pigtail on instagram so only one photo left, that is Hyolyn's teaser holding her hair while wearing black outfit.

On June 6th, STARSHIP Entertainment revealed a confirmed date of SISTAR's comeback will be on June 22nd with a new mini album.
